Ashby 20

The Ashby 20 is a 20-mile road race is over an undulating 2-lap scenic route mainly on closed roads, and is ideal preparation for a Spring marathon.  Famous Ashby 20 hoodie and goody bag for all finishers!

Kelly Massie:

It was an incredibly challenging course, hilly and two 10 mile loops. The organisation and marshals were very good and the drinks, gels and even sponges supplied in the route were plentiful. Definitely a recommended race from me.

Charlotte Hewer:

I Personally couldn’t have asked for a better race . (Despite wanting to run it quicker of course ) The terrain suited me along with it being beautifully scenic . The support on the course was a big bonus from the marshals . As Kelly said there was plenty of water , sweets , chocolate , gels and sponges for the runners too which was needed in the hot conditions. It was great event for families to support as there were spots for spectators to position themselves on the course close to refreshments in the form of local pubs serving food and drinks. Anything above a half Marathon can be boring for supporters so this I thought eased the boredom! I entered early so manage to get an early bird entry and to come away with a fabulous hoody and goody bag I was happy .

Erin Roberts:

Just it’s a lovely race, more challenging than I had anticipated…some difficult climbs, especially the last mile but a well organised and we’ll marshalled event with beautiful scenery and fantastic crowd support. Generous offerings of gels, treats and drinks around the course.

Mike Griffiths:

A lovely event, well organised & supported, I’d recommend it, but its a very hard course and the undulation is not to be underestimated!
